Dr Joshua Brohier (Osteopath)
Over 30 years clinical experience
Joshua is a registered member of the Australian Osteopathic Association. He possesses a comprehensive theoretical and practical understanding of the human body and the vital role osteopathy plays in its recovery and maintenance.
His warmth, enthusiasm and dedication to clients has helped make South Melbourne Osteopathic Clinic, founded in 1992, one of Melbourne’s long-standing practices.
Josh was part of the first graduating class of the first tertiary degree qualification for Osteopathy in Australia and he holds a degree in Clinical Science from RMIT and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from Monash University, majoring in physiology and pharmacology.
He also holds a qualification in acupuncture from the World Health Authority and is an accredited teacher of the Bowen and Emmett Techniques – therapeutic tools developed in Australia and designed to enhance recovery and alleviate pain and discomfort.
Josh takes a holistic perspective to client care, viewing aches and pains as whole-body health indicators rather than isolated symptoms. He conducts a ‘wellness audit’ with every new patient ensuring factors such as diet, lifestyle, age, stress, mobility and general well being inform his understanding of a patient’s therapeutic profile. South Melbourne Osteopathic Clinic is treasured by its clients for caring!
